Cole et al. (2011)
We chose three locations based on their proximity to the Portland State University campus and their high volume of vehicle and pedestrian traffic: SW 6th; and Mill, SW Broadway and Montgomery, and SW Broadway and Harrison.

The researchers found that cyclists were more likely to run red lights at the intersections with the cycle track,
/* 訳:学生たちは、自転車道の有る交差点の方がサイクリストの赤信号無視が多い事を発見した……*/

Cole et al. (2011)
Another key factor of the cycle track along Broadway is that there is no motor vehicle traffic approaching from the right side due to the location of the Portland State University campus.
/* 訳:自転車道が整備されているブロードウェイにはもう一つ要因が有る。沿道がポートランド州立大学のキャンパスなので、交差点で右から来る自動車がいないのだ。*/
